The thing that really puts me off that is all the stories I hear about rangefinders going out of alignment and long waits for costly repairs. Plus I love the easy EVF and Exp Comp wheel we have on the fujis (I'm largely an aperture priority shooter).
So it'll be the x-pro 2 or X-t2 for me next at some point but I'm in no rush at all. I was shooting my X-Pro 1 with the 27 today and I just love the results (although a focus point joystick would be great!)
You are probably right, Ian. The xpro 2 does look really good and I love the 40mm ish focal length when I had my Canon 5D and 40mm Zuiko. The M 246 and 35mm is so much money to have hanging round your neck in the places I have been wandering around. Least I could buy a nice car if I manage to save enough and change my mind.
Really love the Classic Chrome colours and warm light here. I'm beginning to learn - find a good place, hang around for 2-3 hours and shoot when the light and subject match instead of walking around all the time hoping to see something. Apparently David Alan Harvey shoots 3 scenes a day but stays with each one for a long time instead of trying to happen upon a decisive moment.
X70 users. How are guys liking it so far? Hows the shutter lag and AF speed? Anyone using their OVF or a third party one? If so how it is working out?
On the fence if I want to pick one up, get a X100T instead or wait it out for the possible new X200 (or whatever it will be called) that may be announced later this year. It will be my pocket, easy travel/activity camera. I will also use it for street photography when I get a OVF as well, but $200 for the Fuji one is pricey!

I bought the X70 for very specific reasons: portability, the tactile controls, and the sensor. I have an X100S, and even that is too big to stuff in a pocket. So thus, the X70. So far it's meeting or exceeding the reasons I got it. As far as shutter lag and AF speed. It seems to be on par with what I've experienced with my X100S -- which isn't impressive by any means. I have my DSLRs for speed. And I've been shooting exclusively with the screen only (no OVF), and I've learned to love it.
I typically shoot with large aperture lenses on my DSLR (D750), so I tend to use shallow DOF as my crutch. This cam has been helping be okay with stopping down, taking in a whole scene, accepting the crop sensor limitations, etc.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any specific questions, feel free to PM me.
The colors in your images are amazing, and so are the images of course. I just took delivery of a used X-Pro2 today and am looking forward to playing with it.
I've read Lightroom is not the best processor for the X-Trans chip. Do you use LR or something else? If you have any suggestions on color profiles, they would be much appreciated.
