No Gary, just seem to only use it for "work" stuff now. Lots of real estate work, but not using it much for personal. Haven't actually been shooting for myself lately, been in a slump. I think having a small pocket camera again will help!
Thanks for the comparison. Just picked up a second hand GRII after thinking about the x70 for a while. Had a quick play last night and looks like a bit of a learning curve, will need to spend some time learning the Ricoh way haha.
Quick question: I'd like to use some filters with the GR- can I leave the GH-3 adapter attached with a filter all the time? Ie- does the lens barrel still move in and out when switching power on/off and filter attached? I realise I'd loose the pocketability but I like to use polarisers and NDs a fair bit.

Yeah, you can definitely leave the GH-3 on, but I've never used filters with it (just the wide adapter). The lens doesn't care if the GH-3 is on or not.
Here are a couple of SOOC JPEG comparisons between the GR and X70. Handheld, no tripod, but you can still compare pretty well. GR first, X70 2nd. GR using Positive Film preset, X70 using Classic Chrome.

GR has better contrast and the X70 seems like it overexposes about 1/3~2/3... My current monitor at home is crap, so I can't see if the sharpness is any different.
Remember that they're different JPEG presets, so the contrast may have a lot to do with that. iirc, Classic Chrome is described as being slightly lower contrast.
A better test would be Provia vs. the default on the GR, but I haven't done that yet.

How do you find the Fuji AF commpaed to Ricoh GR with firmware 4.0? I'm liking the GR for outdoors daylight work and more deliberate night shots (tripod) - however I'm struggling to get along with it when using for social snapshots indoors/incandescent and lower light situations. I'm hoping to make the GR my everyday carry however a lot of my situations find me in poor light.
I think I've been spoilt with using Olympus IBIS and f/1.4 lenses for so long that I'm finding myself in high ISO territory a lot quicker with the GR. The smaller body and lack of face contact to VF also makes it harder to hand hold below about 1/60 (for me).
Being able to hand hold as well as AF in low light situations is why I have gone through X100, X100T, XPro, and the GR. I currently am carrying the X70 as a daily camera. The size is Perfect (I found the GR almost too small) and so far I have had no problem with focus issues. Hand holding in crappy lighting at night is do-able, but harder than with the tiny GR. I am still learning everything, but really like that I can use the touchscreen to jump my focus point to where I want it quickly and then casually snap a shot. Saves time and using buttons. Also I really like the flip screen for shooting behind me or for selfies. So far I haven't even shot in RAW, just jpeg, and have been pleased... Intend to do some RAW testing with the Adobe converter this coming week.

Thank you for the feedback Katie. I only got a brief 5 minute play with an X70 today in the shop. I've owned an X100S in the past so i know somewhat what to expect in regards to IQ of the sensor - pretty happy with the IQ apart from critical landscape shots and really high ISO where I find skintones to become waxy. Af seemed about the same as GR (daylight) but the touch screen was definitely a plus as you mention. The grip I found to be worse than the GR, in my hands it didn't feel as secure and had less overall area, combined with the slightly heavier weight it felt like I may drop it. I didn;t get to try it but if its like my X100S - Im guessing Fuji will have better a balanced fill flash. Hmm decisions decisions.
