I actually shoot in astia. Not sure why, just liked that profile better 3 years ago and never changed.
I also intentionally underexpose them -2/3 stops on the EC dial. I find that fuji's DR is so awesome it tends to make images look a little flat so underexposing corrects that for me and makes the images work better inside of VSCOCAM.
Lastly some images are edited outside of VSCOCAM in Snapseed as it has a selective editing feature similar to that in LR which works well for a phone app. I used this for the boys on the beach to expose their backlit faces properly and also to blow out the left side of the frame.

Thanks! I just got my x100 a few weeks ago so I'm still learning its nuances. The metering is quirky coming from Nikon/Olympus but I'm sure I'll get better with it. Loving the camera otherwise, thanks for the tips.

Just a quick question for X100 owners - How much horizontal banding do you notice at ISO 3200? I seem to be getting it moderately so tend to not go higher than 1600.
That looks great! Any other samples with it? I usually shoot at 35/50/85 with my usual gear and have been considering switching to the x100s with the two attachment lenses.
I do have other pictures of my wife with the TCL-x100. They look good but my wife doesn't want to have her pictures presented on the web. I bought the converter because I like the versatility and silence of the X100 leaf shutter and the 50mm focal length. Nevertheless I consider the 35mm f1.4 on the X-E2 a different league.
