Nope, my daughter is a foilist, I take shots of her team. Very fun to watch though I'm still working to figure out right of way.

Right of way can be confusing but it's simply the person who starts the attack has the right to finish the attack and the defender can not start a counter attack unless they parry the original attack first. My college teammate recently went to the White House for coaching the winning NCAA team this year. Good sport and if she's good it'll help her get into a great college.
Didn't want to start a thread about it, so figured I post this here.
New X Pro owner. This is driving me crazy as I can't find an answer. Is there a menu setting that remembers your last spot in the menu instead of going back to the top when you go back in?

I was nationally competitive up to college, but in the FAR superior variation of Epee
I’m jealous you get to watch and shoot it, it’s such a fun sport. I heard that the preeminent fencing photographer in Texas recently passed away.
Did you try to pursue it in college? I have a few friends on my college team that were very prominent Epee fencers including the current coach of the NCAA championship team. I fenced Sabre but retired after college.

No, the fencing club at my college was small and largely non competitive. I ended up branching out into recreational team sports during college instead.
The last national comp I participated in, I was eliminated by a kid that would go on to medal in the Olympics, so looking back, I don't feel too bad about that

I don't think we've medaled in Epee at the Olympics in the last 30 years, maybe I missed it. I was beaten in the quarterfinals at the NCAAs by a future Olympian.
