yes, exactly the same for me. it's hard to see the corners of the frame as they get cut off unless you push your eye into the camera a bit more. with the 28 frame lines i can't even see them at all unless i take off my glasses.

Yes, and that is why I've always felt that shooting wider than 35, or possibly 28, on a .72 Leica is a bit of a stretch.

I personally never drank the external VF cool-aid, as I don't like framing in one and focusing in another... So if I'm going to shoot RF, I want all the benefits of being able to see around my framelines for composition and such.

the magnification alone is not the full story. Finder design and eyepoint/exit pupil, have a lot to do with it. PLUS- a .5 finder is worlds different from a .72....

The Hexar RF is ~.64 iirc, and was comfortable to use with glasses at 35mm, but a .72 Leica M2 had the 35 frames out near the edges when i had glasses.
In my opinion, and many other share this, the Zeiss Ikon has far and away the most glorious finder ever.

Personally, I think if you're going to get a metered M camera, get one as similar to your M9 as possible.

M6TTL.... will consider, thanks. It will cost more than the M6 Classic, but I can wait. By the way I have just placed an order for a MT 1.25x magnifier mainly for the 75mm lens., I was told that I can also use it for the 50mm on the M9. I do wear glasses; and as for frame lines for 28 and 35mm perhaps I may consider the MT 0.85x magnifier if it helps at all on a .72 viewfinder. Thanks again everybody for the friendly advice.
