I view the VF with my left eye ... which I realized is not very common. Not saying what my other quirks are.

Turns out, using the left eye on the VF is quite common; reliable sources suggest 35% to 50% of us do it. I do. I'm right handed, left-eyed.

I always shoot a lens at MFD, wide open to start learning "how weak" its "weak spots" are.
