Just saw this one on the front page. Pretty timely right now. I'm fortunately to live in an area that hasn't been threatened by the fires surrounding SF bay, but I've been smelling the smoke for a week, including right now. I know a dozen people that were forced to evacuate, several whose homes have been damaged and one friend that lost everything she owns. The undermanned firefighters working to protect all us are true heroes.

I totally agree with "vbnut".

I lived in So. Oregon, Cascade Mts, Rogue River Valley, for awhile. Summer and Fall these were normal occurrences.

Signs on local town Unemployment Office begging for volunteers!
