I have verified by going to the Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Canonfrance) that they claim a new product is out to launch soon which in their words "will change the way you look at the world…" and have this picture accompanying it:

I am guessing a new flip screen for DSLRs or a new Cine camera.
It seems most of you are interpreting the photo as an example coming from the presumed new camera and thus the inevitable complaints.
I think it is a publicity photo where they have photoshopped out the camera. Soon enough there will be a new camera that will be held like that. Also soon enough, there will be the inevitable complaints that it is not the camera that Canon owes the complainers, OWES them they'll tell you! At their price too!
The camera is shown, somewhat, in the white poster, between the paddle guy and the girl. Squareish with lens almost as large as body. Judging from her hand position it will fit perfectly.

But, I might be wrong.

Hmmm. Here's what the poster looks like with a bit of magnification and levels manipulation...
Maybe it's the front standard and lens board for a new Canon DLFC (Digital Large Format Camera).

You could be right. I kept wondering about that poster and your explanation makes sense.
The more I look at this it seems to be a video camera with an adjustable LCD screen. She is looking at her hand and no fingers appear to be on a shutter button. Small, light-weight and portable.
I've gotta up my meds (or start meds) for thinking about this.
how about less gimmicks..Canon leave that shit to Nikon
what I would like to see is a back to basics full frame ala 5Dc
FF-28-34 mp
dual CF slots
1D-X A/F
6.5 FPS
no video
optimize for still photography
DoF preview button
mirror lock-up button
weather resistant ala 1D-x
wi-fi
1440p rear 3.6in wide screen
no-dials as controls buttons

call it a 3D-X for 3099.00
Well I like the specs, but hardly what I call a back-to-basics camera
