Here are some of my first fall color shots as I got into Colorado this past year. The first one was off of HWY 160 just west of Durango, and the last 2 were just north of Durango on 160. Not long after taking these, the skies opened up with rain, and also began to coat the mountains with a frosting of snow at the higher elevations. It was a great time to be out shooting.
#2 is the one that really grabs me, Jim. Love the bright white trunk of the aspens spaced within the beautiful array of fall colors. I would think about cropping the first from the right to make the shed less centered.

Merry Christmas,

Merry Christmas Ed, thanks so much. I am glad you like #2, I really like the way the light was breaking through the clouds occasionally and kissing this area. That's a good thought on #1, I will have to play with cropping on that one.
Great shots, Jim. I like the variety of colors, especially in the second. But I find myself lingering on the third the most; it seems to have an unexpected depth with the aspens lined up like that.

Thanks so much Dave, I felt the same about #3, so it's great that you picked up on that too!
