I would. See if they can throw in some rolls of film.
They'll credit me the $100. Membership here more than paid for itself in this thread.
Film? Isn't that hard to fold into the CF card slot?
I never shot film, had no desire to, although I now think it might be fun. Film was a time when I looked at disposable cameras for a few dollars and nice film cameras for hundreds and thought "why would anyone ever pay that much for a camera?" A few digital bodies and L lenses later and look at me now - poor but smiling for the camera.

Dunno if I'll go back over $50 since they've already refunded $100. Maybe I should wait until next week when it'll be down to $1,000?
Don't worry about calling back, their customer service is excellent.

Damn the 6D has driven the 5D2 price down a ton, the kit is 2399 with the 24-105...kinda tempting.

Thank You! I purchased the 50 1.2 last week. I just called B&H and was expecting a bit of work to get the difference in the price drop refunded to me. That wasn't the case, call took about 30 seconds and my refund is being processed. I've been using B&H for 10+ years now (almost exclusively) and this makes it an easy decision to continue to do so.

I suspect the mechanical design of the 24-702/8 II is more complicated than that of the
tele zoom. Fancy cams for relative motion of the elements with respect to each other.
That and the fact that it's newer. It lacks IS though, so still surprising it outspends the tele.

So perhaps the big retailers called up Canon and said, "Allow us to list a lower price when added to cart, or we are shipping back the pile of lenses we cannot sell at MSRP."
