I'm 'really' enjoying all the wonderful shots! Great stuff! Here's one of my favorites. I was out shooting the fall prescribed burn season. This shot was satisfying because I visualized it long before it developed. I saw the stand of birch trees and I hoped the fire would be in a position on both sides, so the rising heat would give the trunks a watercolor effect. It took over an hour to happen, but when it did, the shot was there for about 2 seconds. Canon 350d with 70-200 f/4.
Took about 65,000 pictures this year but to many were wedding photo's. I wish I had more of my kiddies. Here are a few of my favorite things in the world. Sorry so many pics.
Some cool variety of shots. It's funny how 2012 went by so quickly for me, but when I look back at all my images and travelling I did in 2012 it seems so much longer.
Thanks Jim! That one was out of an ongoing sequence (mostly wider shots), but the only one with that exact framing. When I noticed the plane coming into the picture area, I was ready to wait for it to hit the blank area. I especially like the plane being right above the three-duck wind vane -- that was serendipity.
