I live in Dunfermline (which is now not far off being a suburb of Edinburgh!! )
Where in Canada are you? Not been there yet, on my list of countries must visit
Secret is to use a product we have over here called "Rain X" its for car windscreens (windshield), it forces the water into droplets or beads - water then rolls off the windscreen .
Apply this to a sheet of glass , and then spray water onto this to create the right sized water droplets that you require.
Suspend this about 12 inches above your desired object - beans or M&M's or whatever, then light the whole thing and shoot and focus on the water droplet.. experimentation on focus to get it just right.
Absolutely no problem Philly - I think , thats what forums like this are for.. share and share a like
Just wish i had more skills to share.. compared to others on here
I like this, I think it would have worked better for me if you had gotten closer on the droplets, so it would have been more obvious what was being refracted in them. Great idea, just a little short of really pulling it off. Way up on the list though.
Hi Dennis.
Thanks for your thoughts.. and totally agree..
My idea was for a "ying & yang" shape with the beans (because they spilled out almost in that shape, and i thought that it looked good). In hindsight i think as you say a smaller number of beans closer up would have nailed it .. and probably been more in keeping with the theme
