Love the story here, Rob.
I've seen many beaver dams in the west- especially in Alaska- but have actually SEEN the critters only a couple of times, and never close enough or with enough light to take a photograph of them. So I particularly appreciate the skill, planning and good fortune involved in getting these.

He sure does leave a mess around however when put to work, he sure can create a marvelous mini ecosystem---sometimes not so mini. Well documented, Rob. I really enjoyed looking at those marvelous captures of yours.
