Like seboh, I hate silvered plastic, I will avoid it like the plague,
While I like my chrome/nickel plated brass lenses, I do prefer black cameras and lenses
for the new stuff.
I like both. I am one who actually REALLY likes the silver Olympus lenses, especially the 12/2 and 75/1.8. I think they look awesome, and I really like a lot of the old chrome rangefinder lenses. Still, I own a black OM-D, and I do like the stealthy look of a well crafted all-black lens. And, I really like the Voigtlander/Zeiss style with black lens bodies with chrome front rings. Looks sharp:
Pre 1970 Ancient gear: Silver is very nice!
Post 1970 Ancient gear: Black is better!
Pro Digital modern gear: Black is best!
Something like the OM-D: I like the retro silver/black combo.
Also, where's copper/bronze or white in the poll?
My all black GH2 looks cool with white, copper, or silver lenses! It's the mixture in balance that does it for me.
