Will I got a little excited when I saw intimacy and d800 in the title and it was a thread by you. . Great shots as usual I agree with you the D800 is not just for landscape and studio work. I have been using it for sports particularly soccer as it gives my 300 f2.8 and 1.4x much better reach. The autofocus is outstanding.

awsome. any particular reason for the 800 over the 800e apart from the extra cash ?
Hi, Lou...thanks! Initial availability AND the fact I don't PP, might be more sacrilegious than my current MO

my wife loves the second one, and she says we should come down for a weekend...we plan on doing a few trips this winter to see some 'big birds'..
Please tell her thanks, Richard. We need MORE wives so come on over...should be plenty of 'big birds' to go around.

I'm impressed, but I'm always impressed with your sneaky ability to get the keepers. Well done Monkeyman!

I do my best work in the trees, Gary...but have honed my stalking techniques from the likes of Wacky & Mr Zoom
Sure appreciate the props, buddy...but gotta give the D800 a for helpin' me out, however.
Love the D800 with some long glass. Thought I would miss the fps, but 4 in FX mode has suited me fine. 6 in DX is just right. And having the 1.2x crop .... I'll see if I can post some in a bit.
