(and kinda irritates me when we can't take a decent cam to a convert but you see lots of phones and flashes going off

Thanks folks! This venue (Emo's East) seems to be fairly relaxed about cameras; they let 'small pocket-sized ones' in according to their website, although they were looking for detachable lenses once we were waiting in line. I figured my OM-D with a small prime would pass muster... there were a few folks in the audience with actual cameras, but most had phones. Didn't see any iPads though ;-)
