I prefer the 30d to the 40d. It is capable of lower contrast than the 40d. Seems to have less noise at high iso. Think 20d has same iq as 30d. 30d+40d raw have much better 1600 than xt 1600 jpeg.
Still have my old 20D could never bring myself to sell it as it served so well!
Loved the IQ and the fact AI servo worked unlike the 10D..

You can rebuy a 20D for exactly what you sell it for. Or less. It's a gadget, there's no point letting it sit there depreciating if you're not using it.
I remember being so excited when the 20d came out and bought the only one in town, at Ritz with the useless Ritz warranty for $1700, used it for many years and got lots of great shots from it. I just sold it to a guy who was looking to get into digital cheap for $150 and I threw in the little zoom that came with it. Nice memories but it was just sitting here and should be giving someone some fun. Depreciated worse than a car but you can't think about those things.
