Haha, they're tough to deal with on the phone, especially for those used to West Coast phone manners. However, I wouldn't hesitate to order from their website and have many times without problems.
BTW, last week wasn't the first time they ran that special; they did it twice before although it was in combo with other items, such as lens/flash/grip, etc. I doubt that Canon just found out about it but who knows.
I am among those who ordered the $4250 combo from Beach on 08/31/12. So far I heard nothing from Beach. Never experienced this kind of situation before.
I ordered the body only on 8/31 on ebay and paid for expedited shipping. Paypal account was debited within hours and since then I have not heard a peep from Beach. No tracking number, no email, nada. But "estimated delivery" is still by the end of this week.
They sent me the tracking number on 8/31. My order was the free standard shipping. If I had not heard anything I would be calling someone tomorrow. I placed my order about 8:00 am EST.

Well, according the tracking number, your order has not been shipped then, I assume?

No word from Beach for me. I couldn't even log in to their web-site properly. I used the "customer with an order number" option and it errors out after letting you submit all of your info. You can create an account from scratch but there is no way to enter check an order number once you've created your new account. Sigh.
I received the $2700 5d3 body from BeachCamera yesterday, and will be getting the Flash+grip+kit bundle today . BeachCamera is a great business to buy from.
