[Hoping the high MP model being rumoured is not a 1 Series camera as the cost is silly in Australia being over $11000.00 for previous 1Ds series.
I just noticed this in a write-up on Luminous today. Nothing more than what I have copied here:
"and now there are rumours of a 46 Megapixel Canon later this year or early next (these rumours are likely true)."

John -- There are the rumors about a stripped down "entry" full frame. Still, it's sure to have video and other modern non-F1n features, but it might be a lower price, like an up-market Rebel.

Typical response in a still photography forum. I'd assume this question comes up every few months. Currently, you can't buy a high end dslr that doesn't shot video so you really don't have an option anymore. If you need it, use it and if you don't, don't.
.
right, video is now just an option on cameras, either you like it or not

I'm glad to have it as a complement to my other cameras.
My iPhone 4s runs 1080p, my car's dashcam's run 1080p, and so does the 5DIII.
I'm really experimenting and learning with video now. Using just the dashcams, here's a video I did driving through Washington, Idaho, and Montana.
The iPhone will give me really mobile video.
The 5DIII will give me high quality stationary video with a variety of lenses and therefore looks. I don't plan on using sliders, dollies, or stabilized rigs that attach on your body as you run around... but who knows where it'll take me!
