Nope, they got those cams as presents from their parents, sisters, brothers, and probably their pets . I know several have mentioned the first three in their B&S posts .

Wow, that is bogus!
How are you supposed to trust a seller who is obviously lying to you?
Those of us who have been around here for a while know what is going on. I don't mind buying from someone who got a deal, but if they are straight up full of it, they deserve to get flagged!
It would be good to have a parallel forum to B&S that posts the best available deals and historical pricing.
We also need to end "positive price policing" - when people post "Wow, that is a great price" in a thread, because we can't reply - "No, you are full of it, you can buy it new for $xxx at ..."

Yes that's correct. They are making $300'ish on them. Or, if you want to keep it you get a new 5D3 for $2700'ish and the more kits you buy the lower the price goes...
Here's a lucky guy that got one of the 60 Hot deal,.... and get to keep the 600ex dirt cheap.
Any San Diego members get this deal and want to sell the 5D3?

More fodder for the expectation that the 5D3, as fine as it is, will not long be the last word in high MP full-frame cameras from Canon...

No one here knows about a high MP camera (and I'm betting there isn't one), but isn't it more logical, and reasonable to assume that these deals simply reflect what 90% of the people here have known since day one? In other words, the 5d3 was grossly over priced and the dealers, with Canon's blessing, are being creative in finding ways they can dump them for prices close to their true value?
This also saves face for Canon because they don't have to admit their gear is $800 over priced... Just my opinion, but this is how high tech marketing works in the real world. In Canon's world, who knows?
Too bad, I actually want most of those things (already have the 24-105) and would have loved to get one of those kits. Oh well, have to keep an eye out on for Beach.
