Looks very documentary style, especially with the processing methods. Don't like the super yellow face/eyes in 11. My eyes are drawn to the blue car in 2.
Love the shooting style. I cut off parts of people's bodies too if it makes the photo more interesting/effective. It's not often I see a set of wedding photos that stand out like yours do, and that's because you have a unique style. I say stick to it. There are many people who will like this work. And the ones that don't won't book you, simply put. But given the amount of competition out there I think it's great to have a unique style that can set you apart from the others. It's something I'm still trying to figure out but it seems you've got your style figured out!
Love 11. Nice depth in that photo. 15 is a great b&g portrait. Nice moment. 16 is sick. Love the execution and people without much photography knowledge will never be able to figure out how you got that one.
All the detail shots are solid. Love the PJ/documentary shooting style throughout.
The b&w's seem excessively noisy to me. Maybe you add grain in post like some others do. I've never been a fan of that look but that's just me.
18 doesn't do much for me. That photo could be a winner because of the moment but light streaks look out of place in this sort of shot. I would rather see a tighter shot where the two fill the frame more and the distracting stuff surrounding them blurred or not in the frame.
Michael,
nothing is wrong with your pictures, it is your style that I didn't like, but if your customers like it, then you don't have nothing to worry about.
Nothing is out of focus, light is also fine, so if you can sale it, just keep doing the same.

Give me a break. Such terrible critique deserves to be ridiculed.
hahahaha ridiculed.. that's a bit harsh. I did a little experiment, I read peoples critique and then looked at their work. I then weighted their critique by what I thought of their work. good or bad it was an interesting little experiment.

I hear you, but I thought this forum was better than simple one liners like that.
Well mcarriere987, next time when I need to post a critique I will send you a pm so you can reply back to me with what I should write on my critique. Be sure is longer than one line.

sgtbueno, not to be rude but after seeing your maternity photos you posted for critique in the People Photography forum, I really think you need to be a little more humble when you critique others' work.
Honor,
so what is wrong with my critique? do I have to say that I like everything that I see?
and not only that, this is a quote of my reply to him:
"Michael,

whats out of line on that?
If you don't like my maternity photos that's fine as long as those that I take the picture and myself like it. You can't tell somebody what to like, I never mentioned to him that he didnt know how to use his camera, I just didnt like the style.
