Not sure if anyone else got this, but I just got an email from Amazon offering a coupon code for $400 off Photoshop CS6 (Mac or PC). You're welcome to try the code I was sent, though it may only work one time or for my email address.
I've been hoping to get this email discount offer for PS6, but no luck. Do you guys have any insight as to what purchases you made at Amazon that might have put you on the offer list?

John
I've jut been viewing it a lot lately. Put it in the cart a few times, I might even have it on my wish list. Quite often amazon will send me emails related to things I've been viewing. That's the only way I can figure that I was targeted for it.
Customers who have shown an interest in photo- and video-editing software at Amazon.com might like to know about this offer exclusive to Adobe Elements and Lightroom customers
Shoot. The Amazon codes must only be good for the email addresses they were sent to. Newegg doesn't have CS6 for Mac so I guess I'll wait it out some more.
Thanks for putting the word out though! A while ago, I was able to grab LR3 at a big discount after someone on here posted about it.
I ordered a copy with the discount. The first time I tried it would not apply the $400 off discount, until I rang it up from Amazon direct for $628.88, the code then subtracted the $400 for $228.88 plus Texas sales tax for $246.62 total with the free (Prime) shipping, due for delivery on August 23.
I received the email below, with the one time code (X'd out).
Dear Amazon.com Customer,
Customers who have shown an interest in photo- and video-editing software at Amazon.com might like to know about this offer exclusive to Adobe Elements and Lightroom customers:
Now through August 20, 2012, use code XXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX to save an additional $400 on Adobe Photoshop CS6 or Adobe Photoshop CS6 Mac. Simply enter the code at checkout to see savings. Limit one redemption per customer.
My code did not match the op's code and I did purchase Lightroom 4.0, so it is a special promotion for those who purchased LR or Elements through Amazon.
Nice. I have purchased several things from them in the past few months. Never software, but have looked at CS6 on their site several times. Oh well, I'll keep looking for deals on it. Been getting by just fine without it so far. My wife is a teacher and tried to get the teacher discount version but her school isn't on the approved list. Got a few years left before my little one will be in school.

Thanks, Tim. I added it to my wishlist -- maybe that'll do the trick.
I received a note from Amazon this morning. Good news, they were able to ship the CS6 early and moved delivery up from 8/23 to 8/16. I hope this will be typical for others as well.
I got one of those nice, shiny codes as well. I've been waiting to upgrade to LR4, because I keep hearing that it's harder on the system (and I have a C2D MPB w/ 4G, so... erk). Maybe this question is thread-hijacking, but does CS6's Camera Raw do everything that LR4 does? And if so, is the primary advantage of LR4 the cataloging?
You can use mine:

I started a post a week and half ago on this deal that I got from Amazon. It was if they new I was not going to pay full price for it. I used my code and received my copy 7 days ago. What a deal!
