Thanks for the link to the samples, which look ok, the lenses seem sharp enough, although the last one could have been stopped down more to get the bushes sharper.

+1, I posted my thoughts earlier Re: Why I won't get it, all I was saying is the AF won't be the reason I don't get it.

FWIW, as a user of both cameras, I don't have to go into the menus with either the Nex-7 or X100, other than to format cards.

I use the NEX-5N, and can't even remember when I last had to access the menu other than for formatting the card. I looked around the menus the first hours after purchase, and configured what I needed. NEX7 has even better configuration options.
BTW, the menu system of the Canon M looks suspiciously like Samsung NX menus from the screenshots.
Nikon either went for a totally different angle on the mirrorless market, or for a totally different market altogether.
So am i correct in that Canon is the only player with three cocurrent lens standards between EF, EF-S and EFM?

is EF versus EF-S any different than nikon's DX versus FX?
I can't hold a large sensor camera with only a fixed display steady enough.
Even if I wanted to, I could not use this camera, and I'm not that old, or physically challenged .
Or am I ?
Well, there still is Photokina coming up, and maybe a Canon APS-C mirrorless with a fully articulated display, which I've been hoping for .
Else I'll just keep my Nexes, it doesn't seem like the new Canon is better in the UI and controls department; it can't possibly be worse, of course .
Oh, and exposure bracketing up to +- 1/2 stop with the Canon, impressive .
APS-c and AF support for EF-s and EF lenses make this a way more attractive camera to me than the NEX. Truth be told, as much of a hater as I am regarding digital, Canon have made something I would actually consider buying.

Sony offers autofocus adapters for the A mount SLR lenses on the NEX cameras, one with contrast detect, and the second offers phase detect autofocus.
