The first is superb and the last very good Roberta. The second is very well done yet when viewed after the first which has it’s closest wing in perfect focus the second seems a bit less. You might want to consider your posting order.

How do you do it?! These are spectacular. Just curious, what lens are you shooting with?
With a lot of help from the guys on this board ! Was shooting with the Nikon 300mm f/4 with 1.4 TC.
Three beauties.

]Butterflies are beautiful with gorgeous details...but whoa girl!....that bee is beeautiful and very hummingbirdesque....see if you try hard enough many new words can be used to describe shots this gorgwah (or it may be gorgois in French).
Seriously, I do appreciate your experimenting with different techniques and the results you get really justify the work you put in.
Eric
Eric, thank you ! It is easy to try new techniques when you don't know enough to know that you're not suppose to !
A great set Birdie. 1 is a super shot with great detail for the entire bf. 3 is over the top - especially with the bee in flight ~ Ron ...Show more →

Tim
Much appreciated Tim, thank you !
A wonderful post, Birdie.
The first image is simply stunning.
And the bee zooming in on the flower is stunning AND unique.
It might be my new glasses, but #2 looks a tiny bit soft compared to #1. No biggie (you know how some people harp on sharpness all the time; well, not me ).
Charlie
Why, thank you so much Charlie
It is not your glasses, the second one is not quite as sharp. The butterfly was flapping its wings up and down , up and down.
Sounds familiair, Birdie.
But summer is going to hit the Netherlands next week ...... so they say once more.
Love the BF's and you are still improving on the BIF.
