I am off to Alaska in 3 weeks so these are very inspiring and really quite nice. (Petersburg Island and 10 days of shooting by small 65' boat, probably Wrangell area for sure.)
Thanks. Wish I could go again. You'll love it. I look forward to seeing some of your images.
Nice images, again! I really like porcupines and watch and photograph them whenever I can. Porcupines are one of the most gentle creatures in the forest. We have a large number of them here in Alaska, and it's easy to find them along our highways and back roads, especially early and late in the day. This spring I came upon one unexpectedly and it turned it's butt to me and bristled up. I thought...good idea! I spend way too much time photographing the cute front end. Why not do some photos of the not-so-cute rear end? Ominous looking, to say the least.
I'm trying to decide if your landscape shot of the lake and the Wrangell's is off the Richardson Higway or off the Nabesna Road? I haven't been down that way in a long time. I may go down that way this fall? Great image!
