Better to get it at Fry's for $3199 Might have been $3299 can't remember but it was one or the other.

Fry's is very reputable.... the price there is $3199. There are also quite a few other reputable dealers selling them on eBay for similar prices. IDK if they are US models on any of them... they don't say. Fry's included.

Just wanted to revive this thread, with a quick question?

Have things remained the same with Ryther Camera in NJ? Is the 5DIII price of $2419.00 real?

edit,
Just answered my own question with a quick search of their site where a USA 5DIII is listed at $3149.00.
FYI

One of the main reasons I buy from Amazon and B&H is their liberal
return policies, which they have honored for years. A major reason
for buying new from a reputable company is to return the item with no
hassle if it is defective or unsatisfactory. If a merchant is using bait and switch, or
trying to sell you manufacturer-included items as extras (for example
batteries), the merchant may hassle you or refuse to accept the return.

Don't waste time with shady merchants.

I remember a few years ago when 7D's were in very short supply and only selling at list price, my brother found a great deal at Ryther. I called them up and found they were not an authorized Canon dealer. Asked them how they were able to get USA cameras at all and then sell them for two hundred less than B&H. They told me they bought B&H overstock. I asked them why in the hell B&H would sell them cameras when they couldn't get enough of them for themselves and were selling them for far more than Ryther. They had no answer for that. My brother bought one from Costco.
