There are a couple of ant hills at the edge of the woods near my home. They, the ants, are huge. I laid down a piece of white paper and dumped a package of raw sugar on it, set up my camera, and waited, but not for long. They came, and within less than an hour, every granule of sugar had been gathered and hauled away. I now have about a million friends at the edge of the woods.
very creative, and risky image Robert...wouldn't want to make friends with the ants...but maybe if you bribe them with sugar outside, they will stay outside.
Regimented little things, kind of Borg like.
Always enjoy seeing your entries, well done as usual.
Dan.
Dan, they are, indeed, very regimented, hard-working and persistent. It was interesting to watch them discover this new-found treasure, organize the work party, and then gather every last granule. There are lessons to be learned from watching them.

Travis, I received only one bite, and that was before they discovered that I had brought sugar.
