I noticed this post in the other thread. Personally I have had times when the vision with one eye was pink, but blamed it on an eye inflammation.
Thanks. I found this post in that thread interesting:

Right handed will naturally close right eye, because muscles on the right part of your body are dominant (arm, palm, foot, leg). Hence closing your right eyelid is more natural, just like when you wink someone.
Look at the way a camera is designed. Majority of the any population in the world is right handed, that's why the viewfinder and lens mount are placed towards your LEFT eye, if you look through it with your right eye, your face would pop/show if looked at from the front of the camera.
As for archery, RIGHT handers will hold the bow with their LEFT hand, because all it needs to do is keep straight, whilst aiming and loading are done with their dominant RIGHT hand which decides the tautness and direction, directly translating to inital velocity and accuracy respectively.
To take it a bit further, I ride snowboard and waterski 'regular' with my left foot in front, but I kick a football with my left foot. Always have, I'm useless with my right foot.
That must be related to stance, similar to the discussion about shooting rifles.
I remember being taught in gym class that when doing running jumps in the game handball, being right handed, I needed to jump with my left foot. I guess it's easier to balance standing on your left foot when throwing the ball with your right hand (and vice versa). It must be the same with basketball.

Right-handed, left eyed. I can use my right eye, but it's not as easy and I see a quite different color balance, which is a bit disconcerting when changing from left to right while composing. Does anyone else have that difference in color balance?
Benjamin, each of my eyes also see quite a different color balance - the cateract in my left eye is much larger than that in my right eye But next month I will be having left eye cateract surgery so hopefully there will be a big change for the better
I'm right-right in this poll, but I disagree with Leon Noel, quoted by AhamB above, in that I find it much easier to close my left eye than my right. I therefore wink with my left eye, though sadly I don't do as much winking as I'd like!
