Thanks! Very nice shallow DOF and background blur on this shot. I really like the 45/1.8 and 25/1.4 ... and especially the 75/1.8 lens, as you can probably tell from the number of images I have posted so far on the 75/1.8 thread.
Not sure if it's still an issue or not - and I do NOT own an OM-D - but I would strongly resist the urge to merge....
Personally, I don't think sharing a sensor has much to do with anything. Internal processing can step on inherent characteristics rendering similarities almost moot. Want more proof? Look at Sony and Nikon.
I care about OM-D images, the characteristics of the body, and interaction with specific lenses. I don't care about every other M43 camera made in the same way, as many have their own characteristics that also deserve to be singled out and highlighted.
Among my first shots with this camera, nothing special, but it sure is fun getting acquainted with her. All shot in Jpeg as my old ps won't work with the orf files. Didn't realize how dirty the back of my watch was, .
It was 1/6th f5.6 at ISO 1600! I couldn't open up to f2 because I was fighting for more DOF...I was very close to the statue at the base (I was laying on the floor at the base...)
I converted to B&W using Silver eFex Pro 2...I bumped up the contrast and structure to bring out the texture...small amount of cropping as well.
This is at Gasson Hall - the main building on Boston College's campus. The statue was made in the mid 1800's...it took the sculptor 4 years to make...amazing piece of art inside an amazing building.
