Martin - It's good to hear your assessment on this camera. I still own an NEX-7 and recently got an OM-D and I'm trying to decide which way I would rather go. I Love the OM-D's autofocus for street shooting but also shoot a fair amount of static images, as you know. I'm not ready to give up on my Canon 5DIII and Zeiss glass just yet and I have a fair investment in NEX-7/alt lenses as well.
I own 5DMIII and NEX-7 as well and used to own previous m43 cameras but was never satisfied with them. I do envy m43 lens selection in particular 7-14, 20 1.7 and 25 1.4, 45 1.8 and 75 1.8. I think the excitement with OM-D is that m43 owners finally got the first camera finally in m43 that is quite good. NEX was a success in terms of picture quality from the very first model. But the problem is lenses, or the lack thereof. Other than $1100' Zeiss 24 1.8, we are still waiting for more quality lenses. The rumor has Sony 11-16 UWA finally announced within a month.

I agree. The quality of the NEX-7 is quite good and I have a lot of good glass for it. Clearly, the NEX is the better choice for manual focus lenses but the AF on the OM-D and native lens availability make the OM-D a compelling choice. And yet, I don't know that I want to sell my NEX-7. If I do, my m4/3 lens collection will increase dramatically and quickly. If I don't, it will be scratching and clawing my way. Oh, what a dilema . . .

Nice shot there, regardless of the system you used - That's almost a floral color checker

My suggestion is to rent the Panasonic Leica Summilux 25/1.4 instead. BTW - I've made my decision and will be unloading my NEX gear to fund OM-D gear.
noted on the lens . yeah.. saw ur post. I have couple of same lens as u. CV 35 f1.2, G45 & G90, 19mm Sigma lol
the reason is that most of the time i'm shooting my kid...and manual focus just cant do it (might be due to i'm a newbie in manual focus). she moves alot and doesnt really keep still .

Note that the 20/1.7 is one of the slowest focusing m4/3 lenses...if you want to try out a combo for AF speed, rent the 25/1.4 or 45/1.8.
My daughter this morning, with Oly 75mm f/1.8, wide open near MFD, available light indoors. It's shot at ISO 1250, 1/25s (love that IBIS), but I had my EC set way wrong (the background was way brighter than her, and I didn't compensate properly), so I had to push it a stop in RAW, so it's equivalent to ISO 2500.
