There are different infrared cut filters in the cameras, some are colored glass, and some are interference filters. The later reflect most of the "infrared" back to the lens, where it could be reflected back to the infrared filter - but some percent enter the sensor.
With colored glass the "infrared" is absorbed, much less back reflection.
