I'm an avid reader who can spend hours at my local B&N store. With eReaders becoming more and more popular, I held off as long as I could in purchasing one. There is just something about holding a physical book in your hand when you're reading it. However, last week I finally broke down and purchased a Kindle. Needless to say that in the 7 days that I have owned it, I have grown quite fond of the device. Therefore, I thought I would make my newest "high tech" toy the subject of this week's WA.
Good entry Nick. I also like the focus through the glasses and the whole idea that the e-reader has taken the place of the book where you might have previously found those eyeglasses.
I'll repeat Travis and Mark re the focus through the reading glasses - a nice shot all around...it would have been worth the ten bucks to have the reader displaying something like Brian Peterson's "Understanding Exposure", or something similar...
I know what you mean about "resistance" - I'm holding out so far, but I see the writing on the... yeah, well, e-reader...
I worked and lived in bookstores for decades and hate to see them vanish, but I sure like how my wife reads herself to sleep now with the lamp off!

that right there...is what makes the WA great...ideas from the fellow contributors that make you think about that stuff for the next image...what kind of great added layer can be added to any photograph...it makes us all better.
