$70 less than 17th Street, $40 less than Cameta, $20 less than BH/Adorama/MSRP. $329 is a quite a bargain, so my question remains - how/why?
Look at dcphoto's comment and it's easy to figure out.... They've got a lot of free advertising right at their target market for that $20's off.... Smart move I'd say.... That is unless Big Brother Canon frowns on that and slows down their shipping....
I got one from Allen's also. The 5D3 is the first camera in 10+ years that I've used without a grip, or built in grip. I've shot over 7000 portrait shot in the last two weeks and my neck, shoulder, wrist, and forearm are totally junk. I have numb fingers on my right hand and my right elbow is numb also. I can barely use a mouse on my computer! I really can't wait for the grip to come in tomorrow. Allen's was great to deal with.
I picked mine up from a local photography store here in Atlanta. I had a grip on my last 5D MKII and this one is a different animal. It feels more securely attached to the body and seems to fit much better overall. The added controls make it a winner. The only thing I will have to get used to is that the grip seems fatter in the hand than my 5DmkII did....not a compliant though. I am glad I did not get the knock-off grip.
the 20 dollars off was great advertising for the allen's...i myself ordered an extender from them because I had such a good experience with the grip...this is how you do business and increase your business...well done

That sounds pretty bad... go and see a physiotherapist who will loosen you up and undo some of the damage you've done...
