You got me - I didn't get past the title to see the poster and I should have known better. TOTALLY not what I was expecting but your rodeo shots are always enjoyable! Yay!! Thanks for admitting it, I was beginning to think I've "lost a step"

Great shots. Shot my first rodeo yesterday. Seeing your posts here were part of what made me want to go out and do it.
Thanks! Way to go, fun isn't it?! Please post some pics, would love to see this thru someone else's eyes.
Spec shooting in this economy can be an exercise in futility (us retired guys seem to seek this stuff out)
What makes it all worthwhile is a parent (especially a fellow photographer) coming up and telling you
how you've really captured their Daughter's spirit, or how much they enjoy your shots. GL to you!
The last one goes back to my philosophy of never get on the back of a pissed off animal whose testicles are the size of your head. You WILL lose that battle.

Having tried my hand at shooting a Charreada here in San Antonio, it is harder than it looks. Once again the Monkey makes it look easy!
Thanks, Grogster Re: your pics...
1. nice one, good color/sharp/OOF BG
2. not sure what just happened but if there are lights on top of all those poles, looks like
a great venue for night shooting...I'm jealous.
3. sound philosophy and why I steer away from things w/o brakes.
Almost appears he's got a bottle of water in his free hand

Yessir, guilty as charged More Pole-ish attempts tonight have been cancelled
due to expected high winds & potential wildfires Thanks a bunch, Gary.
The girl in #2 and #3 looks familiar -- so calm. so collected and I'd bet she ride over her grandmother to shave some time on her run --- and the lighting was great.

Thanks, Bill....good memory! That's Quincey...one of the first Jr Barrel racers I shot, kid is FAST & fearless.
Yo Trench, love having the Sunday morning coffee and running into one of your posts. They are nailed as usual. Particularly enjoy the younger riders who obviously know what they are doing. Really like #3.
