I try not to have a double standard. I hold all ill prepared, ill equipped, ill trained amateurs who try to charge for wedding photography in the same low regard, no matter what gender.

Yeah well that's what happens on the Internet you cant control where it goes and who "hijacks" it.
This thread reminds me of friends of mine who is always talking about how the "young photographers" (we are 40 and over) are dominating our part of the market ( something other than weddings). I think it's better to concentrate on keeping yourself relevant in what ever market you are in, although that can sometimes be difficult.
