Wow Eric, glad you warned. This is really colorful.
Great collection of birds I have never seen before.
Please try to clone out some of the OOF stuff in the first image. Love that shot.

2 takes the cake for me Eric!! The blur in the first is a bit distracting 3 is a wonderful interaction shot showing the environment, extra points for that
Awesome set! I've always wanted to see sunbirds. I like all of them. 2 is my pick of the set, but 3 is pretty cool too, and 4 is such a beautiful bird. Thanks for sharing these exotic beauties.

Cool shots Eric, they are wee beauties

Thanks David...I shot these in 2009 and at the time didn't know they weren't hummingbirds
I did a little research and found out about sunbirds and while a bit disappointed at first I came to enjoy them almost as much.

Thanks Roberta...these guys just hung around a bush on top of Table Mt. and I was lucky to find them. Not all that skittish, I was able to get very close without them being scarred off.

Thanks Chris...I posted these from a "remote" location without access to the original file. I agree 100% about the distracting part of the 1st image and will try to fix that when I can get back to the RAW photo. I think there is a very large variety of sunbirds and now, knowing about them would target them as something to find and photograph.

Lovely shots Eric, #2 is my favorite too, stunning - Randy
Thanks Randy...sometimes it just works out with the right perch and a cooperative bird.

Appreciate the comments my friend. I am in 100% agreement with you on the first...and will work on it. I processed these about 3 years ago and wasn't as "focused" on such things back then...thanks god for RAW files...back I will go
