This photo was taken at sunrise during my recent trip. I had the time of my life testing out two incredible new cameras, the Canon 5D Mark III and the Nikon D800.
I took them to Yosemite and Mono Lake for a little over a week and would like to share with you my personal review.

Nice review, about what I expected.

D800 is a great landscape tool but live view is poor and the built in flash gets in the way of the pc-e lens movements too.

Sometimes you wonder if the engineers talk to photographers...

A great set of Yosemite images.

Thanks for the great landscape photographer's view of these two cameras.
Your examples of the differences in shadow recovery really are astounding!

And based on this one and the images in your article, I'd say you should be teaching a processing workshop. The b&w's in the article are particularly stunning.

Great shot Fred!

Everything is working here, the bit of frost/snow, the tree reflections, and of course the great light on the cliff face. I bet this view didn't last for more than a few minutes!

Fantastic image of El Cap - that is certainly a "print & frame". And you got to spend a week in YNP - I'm drooling...... Made my 1st trip last fall (I'm from Canada, so it's a long walk) Plan to go there this fall for a couple of weeks.
