How it does work with "normal" pic, if it can focus..?
It doesn't focus and wasn't designed for photography. I just glued the brick onto a cheap adapter so I can mount it. And even like that it's fixed focus to 10cm or so. On mirrorless maybe I can get 15-20cm depending on how I mount it.
The main attraction to mirrorless for me is the ability to try old rangefinder lenses. I thought it would be cool to try an old Canon lens on the new Canon platform.

Thanks, Paul. It was shipped from upstate NY last Friday. Hopefully, it'll be here soon. Maybe, today.
I think I'll call it, "Son of Thorium".
I've had loads of phenomenal lenses (most of the ZE lineup, most FF lenses wider than 24, almost every fast 50, loads of macros, 90-105 and dozens of 135s)....I think I prefer images from the Rokkor 58 over most any lens i've owned.
It isn't the focal length. It's the drawing. You'll love it.

Here's a shot from my Olympus OM 50mm f/1.2 wide open. I've been using more in the last few days than usually since I listed it for sale but was not 100% about selling it. You might say the lens exhibits double character. It does not like harsh light wide open and shows plenty of glow when used at f/1.2 in direct sunlight and visible CA. That might not be a problem anymore since my Canon 6D does not shoot at 1/8000 (like 5DII). The lens however is behaves well with softer light and is actually quite sharp wide open (like in the shot below).
My lens collection is rather Zeiss oriented so a friend of mine (Kiddi) loaned me his 50P and 50MP for comparison. I did a quick test af f/2 with all the lenses yesterday and it seems like the 50/2 Makro Planar and 50/1.2 are about equally sharp at f/2 but the 50/1.4 Planar is still a bit soft.
i should know this, but what's image circle on those lenses? do they cover FF or just super 35? also, is it possible to mount one on any mirrorless still cameras?
Attended a friends wedding in Sweden this summer, didn't want to lug a big dslr with me so I brought my trusty old Canon F with 50mm f/0.95 and a couple of rolls of film.
