p.2 #7 · When do you think the D4 will drop in price?
The D4 is part of Nikon's MVP price program. If a dealer sells it for less than full pop, they will lose their dealership. Rather than wait for Nikon to do an official price drop --- which is near the product end of life, you might be able to save a couple hundred dollars by purchasing one on the used market once they are more readily available.

Then if the D4 is a 16MP D3S... will the D3S drop in price any?
the d3s has already dropped in price as far as it should imo....good used ones are $4k or just over, relative to the $6k for the d4 (plus $200 batts which i think is absurd)....is it worth the coin for slightly higher resolution, better video and slightly better focus (relative to the d3/d3s which were best in world) it is worth it for many, and is not for many...i just bought a d3s and sold my d3 last week, for me it was not worth the additional money...but i think the d4 and d3s are going to stay where they are in terms of price for a while....
