Just a great set Charles. You have that X100F and flash working well.
Thank you Leighton Wonderful capture!
I love to use subtle flash when lighting is not good. But if it is too messy to get the flash to work I lose interest very quickly. The D810 with the SB 910 is a great work horse and is so simple to use. Now the X100F also just works with no issues and I have to try out the XT2.
Experimenting with long exposures, as in real long. This was 4min 15sec with a 16 stop filter (10+6 stacked). Just a single shot so DR is decent, only issue is these types of photos are not well handled by I-XT, for some reason it generates a while speckling effect particularly in shadows. LR doesn't, but it's terrible at sharpening xtrans...
By mistake I got the XT1 into the panorama mode. I've had the camera for several years and never use any of the extra features. It was sort of fun to learn.
These were with the 23mm f1.4.
The print size at 300 ppi looks to be 9X24. I'm going to send them to WHCC for prints and see how they look in a hard copy.

That thing can get pretty close Charles. Is this the limit?
The X100F MFD is 10 cms or just less than 4". I would say the shot was about 15 cms. The X100F is proving to be excellent for many product shots without having to go for the larger gear. The optic design has a DOF that is very narrow at MFD and very difficult to get focus f/2, so I just stop the lens to f/2.8 - 4.
I am loving the X100F along with the XT2 and 18/27 combo. The real difference I feel now is the AF is fast and accurate in with both bodies even very low light and the increased resolution with the 24MP,

Good to know. You have made the X100F very tempting.
Family and I have been extremely busy moving into our new home -- what a ton of work. That said, it's good stuff, and I thank God for being blessed enough to buy the home.
Anyway, we had a great sunset today, so I decided to pop off a few shots (plus one from down in the grass that I need to mow already!).

Im curious if you had Long Exposure Noise Reduction on. The white speckling in the shadows is more than likely noise form this long of an exposure and LENR should reduce if not eliminate it.

Yep I had LE NR setting on, doubling the exposure time. The white speckling is there in LR but amplified greatly in I-XT, however if sharpening in I-XT is turned off it goes away a bit. I've noticed this shadow speckling in most long exposures I've done on the XT1. It seems different to hot pixels, which are largely eliminated, it's like coarse white grain with random placement.
