Testing out the Voigtlander 35mm f 2.0 APO macro lens .. on my X-T 3.
Fuji X mount so no adapter needed. Manual focus only, but infomation is communicated to camera. It will focus beyond infinity, but using the standard MF assist can help nail distant focus. Colors are worth the price tag. imo

Lovely. I think the 35 is the only CV APO I haven't owned. Will have to remedy that at some point, probably in E mount...
After giving the TTArtisan 35/0.95 a try, I must say it has become one of my favorite lenses on the Fuji X-Pro3. I am really fond of the unique rendering it produces on the APS-C sensor. Shooting with this lens feels like using an equivalent fast normal lens with a classic rendering, which is far from perfect but that's what makes it so unique. It feels like shooting with a Leica 50/1.4 "pre-asph" lens on a full-frame camera.
I have some sample images from my walkaround with the lens:

Interesting bokeh. If I had to pick a word to describe it, it would be "frantic".
Frantic sounds about right.
In my opinion, the lens produces a 'classic' rendering with plenty of character. It's not the typical modern rendering that is super smooth at the transition zone. I understand that some may not like this type of rendering and prefer something smoother. However, I appreciate both looks and ultimately, it depends on the subject and aesthetics.

That type of rendering definitely has its place among all of the clinical first party lenses these days!
