Using the 1.4x TC on the XF 80mm f2.8 macro lens. I think this might be one of the very few (or the only?) mirrorless macro lenses on the market compatible with teleconverters.
Re-edited 2 old pictures from 2016 today. I made lots of mistakes taking these, but it was still a good trip and I enjoy the pictures as imperfect as they are
Fuji X-T1, Nikkor Ai-S 28mm 2.8; used an Astia pre-set in RNI for the final touch.
I've always shot RAW with my Fujis, but now that I do most of my "portfolio" type photography with a Nikon FX system, thought I'd give the in-camera JPGs with film sims a try - really impressed with how well they handle a fairly high-DR, harshly lit scene. This is Classic Chrome with +4 color.
What is the manual focusing like when using the Mitakon 35/.95?
Thumbs up.
Rob
Hi Rob,
Thanks!
Manual focus is a breeze with this one as the focus is well dampened and very smooth. Aperture ring and focus are in the correct location so it feels more intuitive to me than other Fuji lenses. I have MF set to Focus Peak highlight (red high) and the X-T* viewfinders are a dream here. I’d prefer an aperture ring that clicks but I’ll take it because hey it’s .95 and only set me back $300
Continuing with some old pics, this time from a trip to Rome in July 2017. Not the ideal time of year for photography in Rome - only blue Skies, sunrise way too early, too hot
Pantheon with the 10-24mm. My favorite building in Rome. Would love to replicate the shot when it's wet, maybe the cobblestone would reflect even more then.
