Thanks These are from RAW with Classic Neg. applied in Capture One Express.
Thanks for the info. I've been using the Classic Neg in camera, and I have mixed feelings with it. The results just seem so uneven. The pics I recently posted used it - the one of the car came out great IMO - the ones of my dogs ok. But the one of the harbor - it just looks off. Nothing like a film classic neg would look like, and often in outdoor scenes it gives a pinkish-magenta caste to skies, white surfaces etc.
Your results are much much better.
I have now started taking shots w/ classic neg jpeg +RAW. That way if the classic neg version is 'not pleasing' I have the RAW file to fall back on.
fuji gf lenses mtf fujifilm site shows at 40mmlp and fuji xf lenses mtf at 45lpmm. does it means fuji xf lens will be sharper if both mtf curves gf and xf shows at same value?

Yes slightly, but with a smaller sensor you need to magnify more for the same output size (i.e. same resolution). System MTF is lens MTF x sensor MTF and the latter is higher on GF so you can get more resolution out of the GF system.
That being said: there is no inherent value in sharpness / resolution unless you're not getting enough of it to do the cropping or print the size you want. You seem to be on a bit of a quest chasing the sharpest lens in the world and honestly, it's pointless..
These were taken on my last visit to Nickerson Beach, Long Island, NY about a week ago. The morning started with fog and the forecast was for severe thunder storms later in the day so I was on the look out for the front in the distance. All of these photos are taken near the nesting area which has been roped off and I've got my tripod set up low with me kneeling behind it just outside of the roped off area. My goal shooting from this position was to include the lovely environment in the images. There are about one thousand terns in the nesting area though that's a guess as I have not seen them all in the air. More may arrive while a few have started to nest.
Back to digital photography after taking a break for a month (shot a friend's wedding recently and could not be bothered to process even more pictures )
