Amazing, Lazlo, my friend! Your ability to photograph mundane and even unattractive things and make them into art is breathtaking. I wish I knew how you achieve your trademark velvety sheen to your photos. Gorgeous!

Warm regards,
Endre
Thanks Endre.
What I do for the velvety sheen is:
Duplicate the image layer and desaturate the top layer
Change the blending mode to Multiply and Gaussian Blur it
Add a layer mask to the top layer and with a soft black brush I paint over the areas that needs to be lighter.
Good luck !
I wish I could photograph flowers as you do
Thank you for sharing your secrets. That technique is pure genius. I'm going to post something I messed around with using it. The only part I'm not entirely clear about is the need to desaturate the layer if it is already B & W. Be that as I may, I'm going to post a couple of my old photos that I just tried this technique with.
I have no doubt that you could take flower photos just as nice as mine!
Fond regards,
Endre

Wonderful subject, and beautifully treated Lazlo.
Thank you for sharing your technique.
The effect is incredible considering the simplicity.
Now that you've let the cat out of the bag, I'm sure it will be used by many.
I hope they will pay you tribute by calling it the Lazlo Effect.
I know I will.
