I'm with Comcast.net and my notifications stopped working weeks ago..........I've called them and everything checks fine so it's gotta be here since others with different providers have the same issues........
I've been a long time FM member, and have never had an issue with notifications..., until recently.
Like many others have reported... I have also STOPPED receiving notifications. PM, etc..
So, with the comments and suggestions from others... I decided to edit my profile, and change my email address (which I've had for years) to something else. I changed it to a "temporary/test" yahoo.com address.
Well, guess what? After I changed it to the "temporary/test" yahoo.com address, I started to receive notifications at my "temporary/test" yahoo.com address..... yuk !!!
I do NOT like having to use this "temporary/test" email address, to check for notifications.
Hopefully, this can assist with a permamnet fix/remedy here at FM, and I can stop using the "temporary/test" yahoo.com address, and return to my normal address.
Out of the clear blue my PM notifications started working again without any changes from me or my provider.........hopefully this will affect the rest of you as well...........
Got my first notification this week since January. I had called Comcast and asked them if they were blocking the servers listed above. They tried to give me some BS answer that they have no control over other people's websites or the emails that it sends out.
I escalated the issue and they then said that repeated emails from a server with hyperlinks or attachments are considered spam. I explained that I had subscribed to receive these emails. They were going to escalate it to the next level.
Miraculously, I received a notification this week from FM...they were blocking the .19 server.
Call your ISP and have them quit blocking FM if you are not getting the email notifications. Have them check these two IP Addresses:
The whole point of this thread is that all of us had been receiving notifications and had those boxes checked prior to mid February when FM made some improvements to the site ..........for no apparent reason we started receiving them again this past week.........
