I like the design and the concept, but I did get motion sickness on the homepage. Specially when I hovered my mouse over the edges and the top set of photos started scrolling faster. Same for when I clicked on the portfolio. The pauses between scrolling is very short and I couldn't stand to look at the photos for very long.
From a usability perspective, that site is fairly terrible. (I work in software/UI/human factors)
Looks ok though, but I would definitely rate the photos as better than the site.
On edit, wow, switching blog posts is at the top with no visual cues. I almost completely missed that. Everything is just disorganized and nothing in the interface is consistent. Very easy to get lost or stuck. The ONLY part that I think works well is the portfolio portion, which is quite nice.

I did miss it. There's no clue that it's there. And since tablets don't have "mouse-over", I'd guess they don't show at all.
I've not been impressed by the custom RF stuff at all. Have seen 1 or 2 in the past year or so that I thought was good... and one went through many simplifying changes to get it there. I think they just try too hard with all the flashy interaction when it's not really needed. The best ones IMO have been the DIYer's... because of their simplicity.
A few days old and I'm bringing it back alive...sorry.
I've had a few days to work with Tim @RawFolio to get some things worked out. I appreciate all the feedback especially when it comes to usability....The design and flow is all on me, not RawFolio so please take it out on me and my style/vision/likes....
Things that were commented on (and I remember or noted) and looked into changing if it was possible and how.
1.) Page doesn't automatically load and then shift down which was cutting off the top links for the sections in the portfolio and info section.
2.) Made the images in the top banners on pages more transparent so the set links stand out more.
3.) The about me has changed as it was commented it diminished my brand, I thought about it and agreed.
4.) The blog page was commented on not knowing how to get to older posts. As of now when the post is clicked at the top, it's highlighted by the text remaining as it does preview with a rollover. Better but not perfect yet...Not sure.
5.) At the end of a blog post there was no way to know to go back to the top, a running icon now displays as the post is scrolled and comes bolder when paused...Pretty cool I thought.
Thanks again everyone.

I looked at the site again today, and it is much improved from a usability standpoint. I also like how you classed up the About slides. However, I'd rethink the third person voice used throughout your about section. "James this and James that." It's really clunky, since you are obviously the one who wrote it.
Also, I think you need a photo of yourself on the first slide, and maybe left align the text instead of centering it.
The funky behavior that I saw initially is still there. On Google Chrome if I scroll down the top row of images moves up showing white space, but doesn't actually scroll the website.
Stevez: I can't seem to replicate what you are seeing in three different computers using Chrome....hmm
Amonline: Thanks for checking it out again, I looked on two different Ipads (both 1st versions) updated using the default browser and can't replicate what you have commented on seeing.
Marcus: I'm toying with the idea of stopping the scroll bar on the homepage, undecided if I will. Sent a PM too.
