My guess is that the 5N doesn't have special micro lenses, but the combination of AA filter type and smaller pixels of the 7 doesn't jive as well with angled light rays. I think the 5N's performance is a bit of a happy accident with rangefinder lenses (still not as good as GXR.)

FPF, don't you have a CV 35/2.5? How does that do on the NEX-7?
