I have found that working with the Canon/Nikon setup was actually EASIER than working with the Older Canon + Newer Canon setup because I was able to configure the Nikon controls to match the Canon controls.

^^^ This is what I'm thinking.

A simple task such as chimping a file to make sure I didn't cut-off an elbow is a total pain on the 1Ds2.

I find it so much easier to just use the 1D3, at least I can see the screen. The screen on the D3 is even better than the 1D3.

To shoot dual system is not that hard at all. The key, I think, is in using the custom functions to set up the cameras to operate as similarly as possible.

Currently I'm on Canon only but in the past have shot both at the same time. Like you, I'm thinking the advantage being "the best of both worlds". The challenge for me right now is figuring out what I want to choose from Canon and what from Nikon.

In terms of lenses, I think the 135L is a no brainer, followed by the 35L, 50L, and 85L.

For Nikon, the 14-24 is the no brainer for the wide end. Besides that, I'll admit that I'm slightly in a conundrum...

Have you thought about what happens if one of your cameras goes down? You would lose the use of half your lenses. For those who can't match files from their Nikon and Canon bodies. Look into getting the X-Rite Colorchecker. For $100, it is worth it.

My difficulty is with my Nikon lens choices because I'm a prime-only shooter so I need to pick something from Nikon's primes. Any Nikon shooters can help me out here?
