You are the NO#1 hero in my book Socrate, for rescueing the Pelican! Great shots as well. Were you using the 70-300L for these shots?
Gary
Thank you, Gary That is actually the third Peli I was able to rescue for the same reason.
Yes! These were taken with the 70-300 L.
You probably are doing some adjusting with a the new camera and lens. The 7D takes some time to get used to

Curses Red Baron...great job Socrate! A great combo of super subject and wonderful ability to follow the action. Well done on all fronts.

I saw this scene once! the 2nd heron tried to hit the other from above
Gotta be a woman involved in there somewhere
Anyway, 2 gbh's chasin each other over the surf is a very unusual scene indeed
Excellent shots...specialle the last
Excellent capture, Socrate. Sure glad you had your camera with. I remember being at the end of the Alaskan Peninsula back in the middle 60's doing some beach combing. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to save any birds and or animals but seeing fishing nets suffocating seals made me sick to my stomach.

Thank you Nello. I have seen this scene a few times before as well, but this was a rare occasion to have them both so close
