according to the latest rumor Trumpet guy, they are releasing 24 and 28mm IS lenses. Don't really know why, but that's the talk anyway. Hopefully they are both optically improved-I'm sure the price will be roughly double.

The 28mm FL has really fallen out of favor for FF DSLR's. Guess tastes change. Or perhaps technology advanced enough to produce quality wider optics? Nikon's AIS 28's were always a cut above their 24's.
Maybe because it's quite easy to shoot a 24mm, then crop to taste.
normally i like eoshd content, but that review was pretty poor. it repeatedly compares the samyang to the canon 24/1.4 but then there are no sample images and then and at the very end an admission that the reviewer has never used the canon before. i'd say it's probably not that hard to give the samyang a good review if you're putting it up against the sigma.
Early adopters be sure to post some pictures and your impressions! I've been waiting for this lens a long time. If it were $100 less I'd buy it right now, but at that price I want to see some results first.
Wasn't an early adopter before, but after getting the Samyang 35, my expectations are high.
And yes, I intend on doing some testing & posting the results
I just read on the Samyang facebook page I believe that they are delaying release until April now to improve image quality. I thought they had already been shipping some out? Maybe they had problems in manufacturing and quality control.

Good decision! Didn't they do the same with the 35 1.4 initially for the same reason? The extra effort really paid off with that lens.

I think they did it for the 14 too. That redesign, as I recall, was quite a drawn out affair too but the end result wasn't nearly as technically successful as the 35's.
